Elle Evangelista loves dancing.

Elle was raised on Boorloo/Perth by her Filipino and Burmese family and currently lives on Garigal Land in Sydney with her partner and young son. Elle is proud to have an ongoing career in the arts, navigating the complex structural and cultural barriers that exist with this decision.

Elle has a Bachelor of Arts in English from UWA and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from WAAPA. In response to the Black Lives Matter movement she commenced a Juris Doctor.  She considers her learning prior and post her formal study as equally valid and valuable in her artistic pursuits.

Elle actively works to centre joy and pleasure in her work and process. She loves working in settings where dancing can be an agent for provocation, provide a solution or be a joyful disruptor to process. She prides herself on the quality of her playlists and being a generous collaborator.

Away from the stage and studio Elle really, really, enjoys knitting.
